Craig Kielburger
Craig Kielburger became an advocate for children's rights
when he was twelve years old and read about the murder of
a Pakistani child who had been sold into bondage. His organization
Free the Children has since expanded into twenty countries,
where it initiates such projects as opening schools and
rehabilitation centers, and providing alternative income
programs for families to relieve children from hazardous
work. In the past four years, Kielburger has traveled to
more than thirty countries visiting and working with street
children and speaking to groups on children's rights. The
recipient of many awards, he is the author of Free the Children.
